Jennifer Reiner, DC
Jennifer Reiner is a graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic West. She studied exercise and sport science at the University of Florida while on an
athletic scholarship for cheerleading. Her focus on sports led her to specialize in the care and prevention of athletic injuries throughout her studies.
The use of chiropractic adjustments, specific exercise protocols, and Active Release Technique (a specific muscle technique for injuries caused by
repetitive motion) are used to decrease the healing time of musculoskeletal injuries. She has worked with many athletes from a variety of sporting
arenas including the University of Miami and South Bay Elite Cheerleading Organization. She firmly believes in working with her patients as active partners
in their healthcare and by giving them the tools and information necessary to overcome their injuries.
About Active Release:
Active Release Techniques (ART) is a non-surgical system of diagnosing and treating myofascial adhesion/scar tissue with muscles, fascia, tendons and
ligaments. When soft tissue is injured, it literally "gets stuck." Filaments of the tissue get bound together, forming dense scar tissue or adhesions.
These adhesions impede movement, and often, even entrap nerves.
ART utilizes principles of friction and tension to actually "tear" or "shear" adhesions away from muscles, fascia, tendons and ligaments of the human
body. Using a series of hands-on techniques while the affected muscles are in motion, Dr. Reiner assesses the damaged tissue and releases the adhesions,
separating bound tissue and restoring function.
